SIMON JONES BSC MRICS

Simon is a qualified chartered surveyor with 35 years’ experience. Having started his career with Richard Ellis (CBRE) in 1987, he left in 1998 to become a principal investor in his own right,  assembling a portfolio of properties before joining forces with Tim Parsonson in 2015 to create Camel Projects.

A Cambridge resident, Simon focuses his activity here. He understands the nuances of the city, particularly when it comes to creating unique and exciting spaces within which tech and creative-based communities thrive. He has an eye for recognising opportunity, choosing re-development projects which require something a little different, re-positioning them to attract companies who share Camel’s love of quirky, sustainable spaces which maximise productivity.

ANDy SLAYMAKER MSC MRICS

Andy is a dedicated and unflappable chartered surveyor with 30 years’ experience in property management, planning and development encompassing commercial, residential and agricultural land and rural estates.

The stewardship and sensitive re-development of land/property assets is of particular interest to Andy and it’s this shared ethos that attracted him to join Camel Projects in 2018.

Andy is responsible for the management of all Camel Project’s real estate property, with a particular focus on building strong relationships with occupiers and the financial management of the estate, including facilities and investment improvements through sustainable development and refurbishment.

Andy’s passion and energy for the sector is a driving force behind Camel’s inspired re-development of various assets across Cambridge, including Chesterton Mill and most recently, Hope Street Yard, located in the vibrant and diverse Mill Road area of the city

TIM PARSONSON

Tim is a Cambridge-based angel investor specialising in the IT sector. He co-founded Camel Projects with Simon Jones in 2015 out of a mutual desire to create a property development company that looked at the sector a little differently – selecting projects that required a unique approach to bring them back to life.

Today, Tim’s commercial interests take him much further afield and stretch from the UK, into Europe and down into southern Africa
